A Beginner's Guide to March Madness
The month of March marks the start of spring, warmer temps, sunny skies, and blooming flowers. But for college basketball fans, it signals just one thing: March Madness! The season of March Madness is upon us, and we're getting in on the action here at Fawn Design! What is March Madness?
March Madness is the time of year when the annual NCAA college basketball tournament takes place (typically mid-March through the beginning of April). During March Madness, 68 college basketball teams compete for the National Championship over the course of several weeks. Teams are eliminated in seven rounds and whittled down to the Sweet Sixteen (top 16 teams) and the Final Four (top 4 teams) until one team is crowned the champion.
How do you fill out a March Madness bracket?
You can participate in March Madness by filling out a bracket! All 68 teams in the single-elimination tournament are seeded based on their skill level. The results are released on Selection Sunday when the full bracket is announced. To fill out your bracket, just make your picks by predicting who will win each game of the tournament. The brackets lock in on Thursday before the first game of the first round begins, so this year you need to make your picks before March 21!
A good rule of thumb when filling out your bracket is to pick teams that have a good record and a history of winning. But it's also smart to select a few underdogs or potential upsets to keep things exciting. You can pick based on your favorite teams and players too, or just have fun with it and pick teams based on your favorite uniforms, school colors, or even mascots!

It's super simple! To join, just go HERE, sign up, and fill out a bracket. We'll pick three winners after the results of the Final Four National Championship games on April 6-8, and announce them the following day! Winners will score the prizes listed below:
