Diaper Bag Checklist

  • PORTABLE CHANGING PAD: When you're on the go, a portable changing pad or mat is an absolute must! That's why we created our handy Changing Clutch. The sleek clutch includes a vegan leather changing mat that folds out and wipes clean, plus a plastic wipes case, so you have everything you need for a quick diaper change at your fingertips. Just toss it into your diaper bag and you're good to go! Bonus: The clutch is big enough to fit your keys and wallet, so you can grab it when you're running into a store or for a quick errand when you don't need your full diaper bag.

  • DIAPERS: Depending how long you'll be out and about, we recommend packing 3–5 diapers in your bag. We love the diapers from Happy Little Camper and Hello Bello.

  • BABY WIPES: Good wipes are essential! We always reach for the wipes from The Honest Company.
  • HAND SANITIZER: Every mama needs hand sanitizer when you're out running errands and for use after a quick diaper change—need we say more? We love the Tubby Todd coconut hand sanitizer.

  • DIAPER RASH CREAM: Take extra care of your baby's backside with a diaper rash cream or soothing formula. The Tubby Todd Baby Fresh Spray helps hydrate and refresh the skin.

  • NURSING COVER: For breast feeding on the go, a cute nursing cover is a must for every mama. We like the nursing covers from The Milk Snob, available in a variety of patterns and colors. Bonus: The nursing covers double as a fitted infant car seat cover too!

  • BABY FOOD & SNACKS: One thing we can't leave the house without? Snacks! We like to pack a variety of snacks for both mama and baby, including small bags of Cheerios and Goldfish Crackers, apple sauce and yogurt pouches, granola bars, and raisins.

  • BOTTLE: There are a lot of baby bottle options out there, but we love the silicone bottles from Comotomo for holding milk, juice, and water.

  • BURP CLOTH: Be sure to pack a comfy burp cloth for use after breast feeding. We love the soft burp cloths from Copper Pearl, available in a multitude of colors and patterns.

  • EXTRA CLOTHES: Don't leave home without a change of clothes for your babe! One word: Blowouts.

  • BIODEGRADEABLE BAGS: It's not glamorous, but be sure to pack a few poop bags for properly disposing of smelly diapers or stashing messy clothes until you get home.

  • BABY HAT: Pack a cozy beanie for your babe in the cold winter months to keep their head and ears warm, or bring a foldable sun hat in the summer to keep the sunshine out of your little one's eyes.

  • SUNSCREEN: When you're on the go, a portable tube of suncreen is an easy and efficient way to keep your babe safe and protected from harmful rays! Slip the Tubby Todd Play Mineral Sunstick into one of your diaper bag's pockets.

  • HAIR TIES: Every mama needs a trusty hair tie or scrunchie to pull their tresses into a trusty top knot when running errands or at a play date. We love the cute scrunchies from Katie Waltman.

  • HAND CREAM: Having a baby means washing your hands a LOT. Treat your mitts to some TLC with a luxe hand cream to help prevent dryness—especially in the cold winter months. We like the rich, travel-friendly hand creams from Aseop
